The driver information center is located in the factory stereo. Im wondering if I remove the stereo unit, if the the settings would stay current or restore to a default state. It gives me trivial options such as to unlock the doors when shifted to park and other minor things. If they would stay as set with the stereo is removed then I could. The factory speakers are good and have much better sound quality then the factory radio puts out. I upgraded mine to a Pioneer aftermarket radio and the sound quality is much better.
